Living in the Light of the Resurrection of Jesus

Dear WMF friends,

Living in the light of the Resurrection of Jesus!  We had a wonderful Easter Sunday worship service with our youth group giving a puppet presentation for the congregation much to the delight of the kids.  We were glad for the turnout because the Thursday and Friday services were very sparsely attended.

We picked up again with the mid-week study out in Frente Popular with 5 parents of kids in the clubs.  Another 8 adults besides have come on several occasions.  I am really thrilled about this and so grateful to God about this group!  We have hoped and prayed for so long to see this get going.  A number of the kids from the club have come with their parents and sit in on the study of the Gospel of Mark.  This study was one of the hardest things for me to leave back in 2011 so it has given Barb and me GREAT joy to see people come back to it!

Kirstie is very grateful to the Lord for opening doors for her to go to the FLY youth convention and also to Uganda on the AFLC Student Mission’s team this summer.  Please pray with her as we work out the details of getting her up to the U.S. and also as she raises support for her mission trip.

We got to make some new friends in Zacatecas recently!   We visited new missionaries in Zacatecas from Barb’s sister’s church in Salem, OR;  Josh and Heather Dunn and their two grade-school-age girls.  We had a great visit with them and gave them a bunch of the books we had used for school with our own girls.  One of their girls said ‘it’s just like Christmas!’ because she loves books so much.

And thank you, each one of you, for remembering us and our ministry in your prayers before our Father in heaven.  We are also very blessed to have received your help in carrying out this ministry.  Thanks so much for your support. We are very grateful to you.

In the love of the resurrected Christ Jesus,

Todd, Barb and Kirstie Schierkolk
