Eastern Montana/Western North Dakota District WMF Rally

The Eastern Montana/Western North Dakota WMF met in Tioga, ND on October 13. Our opening mixer was so much fun! We found a paper foot with a song listed on it inside our bulletins. Then we had to hum the song as we found others with the same song. Our group could then come up for a door-prize. I really enjoyed watching and listening as everyone wandered around finding their group.

We always have good speakers, and Pastor Del and Karen Palmer were no exceptions. It was good seeing how he used our theme “Walk Worthy”.  Karen wore a beautiful sari as she spoke about her trips to India.  Nancy Rice, a diabetic educator, talked about diabetes, explaining what it is and what symptoms to look for. Our other workshop presenter was Paula Nyman. She is a beautiful photographer, and showed us her photos. It’s amazing how ordinary things can be transformed in a photograph.  The way she paired her photos with Bible verses was inspiring. She also showed us some tips for using this new WMF blog.

For me, one of the highlights of every WMF Rally is the Singspiration. The music always touches my soul, and I get goose bumps. Somehow, music seems to lift me up and fill me. Of course, the other part is the food and coffee, and being able to sit and talk, both to “old” friends and to those I just met. All in all, it was a wonderful day.
